Grant Applications Are Back Open!
We’ve heard you.

Over the past year, we’ve received countless messages from people who dream of joining us at a Getaway but feel it’s just out of reach. You’ve shared your stories with us - the timing that never quite works out, the bills that stack up, the feeling that experiences like this are “for other people.”
 

We see you. We understand these Getaways are financially out of reach for many.


Thanks to a generous benefactor, we’re re-launching the grant program designed to help members of our Blue Family who are almost there - those who could make it happen with a little financial bridge.

HOW IT WORKS

We’re offering a limited number of grants to help offset the cost of attending a Blue October Getaway. These aren’t full scholarships - they’re meant to help close the gap between wanting to come and being able to.

Our team is matching every dollar donated, allowing us to increase the amount available to help as many people as possible.

Grants will typically range from $600 to $1,000, though if you need a bit more, it’s okay to ask.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This program is for people who genuinely want to attend but face a financial gap that makes it feel impossible. Maybe the getaway itself is within reach, but adding flights and transportation puts it over the edge. Maybe an unexpected expense set you back. Whatever your situation, we
want to hear from you.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

  • Grants are limited, and not everyone who applies will receive one. Applying does not guarantee a grant.

  • This is NOT a free trip, even with a grant, it’s a major financial commitment. 

  • Please do not apply for a grant if:

    • You cannot afford the expenses remaining after receiving a grant, which can be upwards of $5k for 2 people

    • You cannot make one of the Getaways, Sept 24-28 and Oct 1-5.  Please only apply if you have the time and means to go.

  • If selected, we’ll reach out to help coordinate using your grant toward your trip.

We started Blue October Getaways because we believe in the power of this community - people showing up as strangers and leaving as lifelong friends. This grant program is an extension of that belief. If you’ve been wanting to join us but couldn’t make the numbers work, we’d love to hear from you.
